Company Details

To make changes to your business opening hours, date format or timezone, go to Administration > Company Settings. On the main tab, you can make these changes.

By default, JungleChief allows you to run daycare, boarding, grooming, walking and transport, however you may not need all services. To change the services you have access to, go to Administration > Company Settings and select the Modules tab. From here you can toggle the relevant modules on and off.

In the Accounting tab, you can set or change:

  • Currency (select your country/currency).
  • Tax Inclusive or Exclusive: Sets whether your  prices inclusive or exclusive of tax.
  • Tax Per Line: If you prices exclude GST, do you want the Tax amount to be displayed on each item line or totalled in the summary? If Tax Per Line is toggled off, the tax amount will show as a total.
  • Invoice Due In: Set the default days that you would like the invoice paid in and this will show as the due date on the Invoice. If the invoice is due before the pet can be checked out, you can set a negative number here.
  • Invoice Issue Date: If using Xero integration you can set the invoice issue date as a function of checkin date (eg. 10 days before checkin).
  • Deposit Due Immediately: Toggle this on if you require a deposit (for boarding) to be paid immediately.
    Note: If you turn this on, the Deposit Due In toggle will disappear.
  • Deposit Due In: Set the number of days and choose from either after booking date or before check-in date. (This will only show if you have not turned on Deposit Due Immediately).
  • Deposit Calculated By: This is how your company works out their deposit, either by a percent of the total booking or a set amount.
  • Default Invoice Notes: Test will show on the footer of all the invoices that are created and sent to customers.
  • Default Invoice Email Body: Text will show in the body of invoices emailed to customers.
  • Default Statement Email Body: Text will show in the body of statements emailed to customers.

 

Tax Rates

Your country tax rate should be setup by default, however it is best to check it is correct. Some areas also have multiple tax rates. Each tax rate can be setup here. If you apply different tax rates to different services you can apply your different tax rates to your pricing groups.

 

Branding

You can upload your company logo which will show on the software and on the Owner Portal if you use it. The aspect ratio should be 2:1 (400px wide by 200px high).

Write your own welcome/notes which will be displayed to Owners on the Owner  Portal.

Enabling 'Allow Multi Booking' for Daycare restricts the use of Pay on Booking. To allow Pay on Booking, disable the Allow Multi Booking toggle.

The Auto Confirm options set whether you want Online Bookings to be automatically confirmed. Turning Auto Confirm off will turn customer online bookings into Request for Booking.

You can also specify how many months in advance you allow customers can book via portal by setting the Maximum Booking Date (eg. 6 months from today's date).

Unique Portal Link: This is the URL link that you can copy and paste on your website allowing customers to go directly to the Owner portal. You can send an Owner Portal invite to all your pet owners by clicking on Send Portal Invite to All Owners.

Terms and Conditions: This will be automatically sent to your customers to accept when they're invited to sign up for the Owner Portal. You can insert your own company specific T&Cs here. If you want to send (or resend) an individual Owner Portal invite, you can do that using the Send Invite button on the Pet Owner detail page.

Remember to Save your changes.

 

Modifiers

Modifiers are Discounts or Fees that can be applied to bookings that you make on behalf of customers. For example, a 10% senior citizens discount may apply or a fee may be charged for an 'End-of-the-day Wash'. Modifiers are added as a1-off discount or fee when creating/modifying a booking on behalf of a customer.

 

Concession Cards

A concession card for a pet service like dog daycare is a prepaid package of visits offered at a discounted rate for regular customers. Rather than paying per visit, pet owners purchase a set number of days upfront — typically 5, 10, or 20 — at a lower daily rate than the standard casual price.

Please note: Concession cards are created per service (daycare, boarding, grooming, etc) and so not able to be cross credited, due to different price structures.

To set up your concession cards, go to the Concession Cards tab and click on + Add Concession Card.

  1. Give the card a title eg. (10 trip pack).
  2. Select the service/module to which it applies.
  3. Enter the price of the concession card (if the daily rate for the service $100, and you want to create a 10 Session card that offers a 10%, you would set the price at $900 for the card - 10 sessions at $90 = $900).
  4. Toggle Show On Portal if you would like your owners to be able to purchase cards online.
  5. Set the number of sessions/visits this card covers.
  6. Set the validity period which is the number of weeks this card is valid for. If you want it open ended, simply type a large number (eg. 520 weeks = 10 years)
