Getting started with Grooming

The Grooming Module streamlines management of grooming appointments, services, pricing, staff schedules, and owner communication.

You can:

Manage owners and pets in a single view.

Prerequisites
• Company admin access
• Awareness that turning the module on may change subscription pricing

Steps

Result: Grooming appears in your left‑hand menu and the calendar is available.

Use Administration › Grooming to control the calendar and service catalogue.

You can set:

Services for the grooming services you offer (description, cost, duration, tax, whether or not each service allows a groomer to take a commission, whether it can be booked from the online portal).
Business settings allow you to set the grooming opening and closing times, whether or not individual groomers show on the portal, and whether not each groomers break times show on the calendar.

Use Administration › Users to manage people:

Create staff profiles and assign the Groomer role (this creates a personal groomer calendar).
Access each groomers individual settings by clicking on the Actions drop-down button and select Grooming Settings
- The General Settings tab allows you to set the daily hours for each individual groomer, their individual break times, their max number of appointments per day and set their calendar appointment colour. Also make sure the Ignore Break Times toggle is switched off if you want to ensure no bookings can override a groomers break.
- The Blockout Dates tab allows you to set blockout dates for individual groomers.
- The Commission Settings tab allows you to set individual commissions that apply to each groomer for each service. Commission can be set as a percentage or fixed $ value.

Important: Business opening hours for grooming are governed by each groomer’s availability.
