Payment on Booking
The Pay on Booking feature requires pet owners to complete their payment via the Owner Portal before a booking request can be submitted and confirmed. When they click Submit, the system automatically redirects them to the Payment Page.
Fee Structure Options
1. The Absorbed Option
Use this setting if you want to cover the processing costs yourself.
- How it works: The customer pays the standard service price, and the processing fees are deducted from your total revenue.
- Example: On a $100.00 bill, the fee is $3.20 ($100 times 2.9% + $0.30). The customer pays $100.00, and you receive a net amount of $96.80.
2. The On-Charged Option
Use this setting if you want to pass the processing costs on to the customer.
- How it works: The fee is calculated based on the gross amount and added to the bill total. The customer pays the fees on top of the service cost.
- Example: To ensure you receive exactly $100.00, the system calculates a gross total of $103.30 ($100 + 2.9% + $0.30). The customer pays $103.30, and you receive $100.00 after the $3.30 fee is deducted.
